I attended the Duke Ellington School Of Performing Arts in Washington, DC, and I remember a feeling of family there that I will never forget. Right now I am remembering some of my class mates; Lana Love, Adren Bulton, Kelly Gordon (from Jones n Haywood), I know you don't know these guys but the point is that it feels so good when you have a home away from home. And here we want to create that feeling. Once I went to a DJ record pool and gave one of the DJ's my record and he said "hey man what's up! Whatcha got here." I said this is my new release, when he took a listen he looked at me straight in my eyes and said we gonna get this out there for you don't you worry dog we gotcha, don't worry! Two weeks later I was letting people here my cut and they were like, I already herd that before at the club and they were so excited! You see. That was true support and when pushing your new product you need people behind you like that. I remember
feeling hey, I'm not in this music thing alone, some people really care about helping me. What a wonderful thing to know. Especially in this business that can sometimes be so "cut throat"
